Welcome to "The Last Way Station Mega Book Tour and Indie-Author Showcase!"
The purpose of this web site is to introduce you to, and to support, the Mega Book TourTM a new concept in virtual book touring. Traditional virtual book tours follow a single author as he or she makes the rounds of a string of book-blogger sites. The Mega Book Tour super-sizes traditional book touring. Instead of focusing on just one author, the Mega Book Tour features dozens of authors at a time. They participate in multi-author, tag-team events that add a new dimension to the virtual book tour experience.
What The Site Offers
During the tour, this site serves as the central hub for information and tour-related links. Here you can keep track of, and link to, past, present and future book-tour events. You also can obtain information on, and visit, the tour's book bloggers.
The site's Indie Author Showcase makes it easy for you to learn about featured authors and their books. Use it to read author profiles, to sample book chapters or to start one-on-one author dialogues. You can even purchase an author's books by following the book's link to Amazon.com.
The Mega Book Tour site also houses the tour's Sweepstakes. On the "Sweepstakes" page you can officially enter to win ebook bundles or the Grand Prize: a Kindle Fire! Improve your odds by filling out our "extra chances" forms where you can earn credit for any actions you take that qualify for extra Sweepstakes drawings.
My Role as the Tour Sponsor
For a long time, I've watched Indie Authors struggle to achieve the recognition they deserve. So, I created this site, and this program, to test ideas I've had for making online book marketing better -- particularly for indie writers with limited dollars to invest.
